Weight loss journey - beginning again

Obviously my vow to post more regularly has not worked out! But in good news I am down over 20kg/44lbs!

I've obviously stopped and started a few times, otherwise I'd almost be at my goal, but at least scales are not going up!

I've started doing some fitness blender workouts again which I like as there is a huge selection for all levels and types of workouts.

I'm not sure how I will go next year, as we will be travelling the country the whole year. I am planning on getting lots of hikes and walks in, as well as kayaking and swimming.

I would like to be close to my goal of around 65kg by next December, but as long as I continue to lose I'll be happy 😃

My focus at the moment is to increase my vegetables and fruits, cut down on my ridiculous intake of pasta and bread and walk at least a kilometre a day.

I will check back in around Christmas to share how I'm tracking.

Weight loss journey -week four Sunday 22nd June

Once again, I have left it a wee bit long between posts. Since my last post, I have lost a whopping 600g. This brings my total to 4.8kg lost.

I have obviously seriously dropped the ball, both with exercise and eating. Although I have since discovered a few medical issues that contribute to my slow weight loss, I still need to up my game.

I will endeavour to post at least fortnightly, and have set a few goals to hit.

1. Stay under my daily/weekly calories

2. Get at least 3 days of exercise a week (more is good, but baby steps).

When I hit the 5kg mark, which will hopefully be next week, I will post pictures and measurements.

Until next time

Camille

Weight loss journey - week three, Saturday 8th February

Although not technically my third week, it is my third post.

Since my last post, I have lost 2.5 kg. My total loss to date is 4.2kg. The reason for the low number is that I dropped the ball a bit over the holidays. I didn't go crazy, but I wasn't watching what I ate either.

I did do a nice 6km walk around a local lake the other day, got a little burnt. My aim for the rear of the month is to do at least one long walk like this a week, as well as shorter ones. Another aim is to get back into logging on myfitnesspal.com more consistently.

Although I am behind my weekly 800g goal, I haven't gained anything. A loss is a loss!

Next week, I will take my measurements, hopefully they have gone down too!

Until next time,

Camille

Weight loss Journey - Week Two

Hi all!

I've taken to weighing myself twice a week, as I started this journey on a Monday but didn't start documenting on this blog and You Tube until the following Thursday.

Since last weeks post, I have lost 1.7 kg/ 3.7 lbs!

I'm pretty impressed with this figure, as I had a pretty average weekend on eating/exercise.

In total, since December 2nd, I have lost 2.3 kg/ 5 lbs.

On Saturday I went to Cuckoo Restaurant (smorgasbord) for my mums birthday. I actually ate a lot better than I have previous times I have visited a smorgasbord, but still went over my calories. I didn't do any exercise from Saturday until Wednesday, but stayed pretty close to my calorie target.

I haven't done 30DS since last week, as I got a little lazy over the weekend and have lost a bit of motivation to do it. I did do a You Tube workout yesterday and today on the PopSugar Fitness Channel. While it didn't push me as much as 30DS (it was only 10 minutes), I still got my heart rate up and burnt some calories. You Tube fitness channels seem like a great idea, as you can get heaps of different types of workouts and prevent boredom.

I also wrote up a list of weight loss and fitness goals that I want to achieve. I put some rewards with them, so I have something (other than weight loss, of course) to look forward to. When I have hit my first goal, I will share the list, as I might have to modify the time frame depending on how I'm tracking.

I haven't taken any pictures this week, as i can't imagine there is any visible change yet. I will put up some next week.

I have my first installment of my weight loss journey up on You Tube now. It has a bit more detail than my last blog post, but I will try to keep the content similar from now on.

Weight loss journey - week one

Long time, no write.

I have been extremely slack with this blog, one post in almost 2 years! This is changing today!

I plan to start posting weekly updates, and will start weekly vlogs as well.

I have started the journey to a healthy weight and fitness this week.

I started consistently logging into myfitnesspal, only eating allowed calories and have also started 30 Day Shred (30DS).

I am sticking with 2 days on, 1 day off with 30DS, so I don't put too much strain on my body - I have a lot to lose!

So far, I have have lost 600g/1.5lbs since Monday!

It has not been too difficult so far, although housework is a little neglected atm.

I will continue to post weekly updates, and when I post on my YouTube channel I'll link my vlogs.

If you want any further info on what I am currently doing to improve my health, or want to friend me on myfitnesspal, comment below and I'll try to address it in my next post.

Until next time,
Camille

Intro etc..

Hey there!
This is my first ever blogging experience, so be kind! I have a YouTube account MsCamigirl, which has a couple of videos on reviews and some boring camping/driving videos too.

Some info about me -

  • I am 28, live in Melbourne, Australian
  • I spend quite a bit on makeup crap (as my boyfriend calls it!). Not as much as some bloggers, but more than I should!
  • I am currently using a crappy usb keyboard, as i spilled beer on my laptop so bear with me til it's replaced please.

Ok, what I am hoping to do with this blog is have a text version of my YouTube videos, as well as some other everyday stuff.

Obviously I am pretty new to this, so any feedback/comments (of a constructive nature) would be greatly appreciated.
